About monospace

Small tools, no ceremony

JSON formatters, Base64 encoders, regex testers, and UUID generators are things every developer reaches for constantly — and most of the free versions online bury the actual tool under account walls, popups, or a page that takes three seconds to load a slider input. monospace is the opposite bet: four fast tools, one page each, nothing between you and the thing you came to do.

How it works

Every tool runs using your browser's own built-in engines — the native JSON parser, the native regular expression engine, the browser's cryptographic random number generator. Nothing you paste or generate is ever sent to a server. Close the tab and it's gone.

Why "monospace"

It's the real term for fixed-width fonts — the kind every code editor and terminal uses, where every character takes up exactly the same amount of space. That's the whole design philosophy here too: no visual noise, everything lined up, nothing pretending to be more than it is.
